Japan Search RDF Schema is a data model and vocabulary for large scale portals that aggregate data from heterogeneous domains. It is designed to be effective in terms of user tasks as well as be beneficial to data providers, considering the previous practices in other countries. As the basis of the design, it introduces dual layered model where both structured nodes and simple properties contribute to the description. Also, it distinguishes information about data sources and item access from the metadata of item itself. This paper discusses the points of consideration for the basic design. Then it explains the details of the spatiotemporal information representation and data normalization, with the SPARQL functionalities in mind.
