Digital archiving in Japan was born in mid-1990s. In the early stage, it was targeted for collections of museums and libraries as well as tangible and intangible cultural properties. However, in recent years, enterprise digital archives have also become popular, targeting the history of corporations. In this paper, we introduce several corporate use cases and discuss the significance and future possibilities of building a digital archive for enterprises.
