Abstract
Among the operations of the dam reservoir, there is general recognition that the constant water level operation is easy. However, there are some problems which should be solved from the viewpoint of actual condition in this operation. In this paper, it is pointed out the problems by analyzing the constant water level operation from a viewpoint of the hydraulics, and the corrective strategy for these problems is proposed. Concretely, it is shown that the constant water level operation is to be explained by the same form of the equation of attenuation vibration as the differential equation system, and the reliable system for the constant water level operation is proposed among these attenuation vibration equations. And also the evaluation to this proposed system for the constant water level operation is to be done from several viewpoints.
