低品質骨材のダムコンクリートへの適用に関する検討

The andesite being around the Oyamadam site is good in quality as the aggregate for concrete of dams and has been used in many dam cnstructions. But if the necessary amount of the andesite is picked in the quarry sites of the Oyamadam site, plenty of auto breccia ted andesite lava whitch is inferior to the andesite comes out at the same time and the cost of disposing it and slope protection of the quarry sites becomes large.
This paper shows the result of a study about application of Yabakei welded Tuff (YWT) to the aggregate for internal concrete of dams. YWT exists in large quantities near the Oyamadam site and is not so good in quality from the view points of Standards that it has not been used as aggregate. In this study various tests on YWT itself and the concrete of it, for example tests for soundness of aggregates, compressive strength, freezing and thawing and so on were carryed out. It is recognized that YWT is good aggregate for internal concrete of dams from the results of these tests.
