Study Program “Technology Week” for Leading Edge Technical Development and Manufacturing in Industry

Abstract

This paper deals with the study program for leading edge technical development and manufacturing in industry, a new trial “Technology Week” in Faculty of Engineering, Niigata University, Nagasaki University and Toyama University. This trial is organized by one-week exhibition of new products and technology and a technical lecture. Nine “Technology Week” programs were held from Dec. 2004, and two to three hundred students joined in each lecture. And also, each trial was highly evaluated by students according to the results of the questionnaires, because 95% of attending students would want to join the next plan basically. At last, it is estimated for the effectiveness and discussed the future development of the “Technology Week” .
