A new educational program is required to show students how to study high level, specific technology through analysis and its various considerations. Lessons on power electronics using a circuit simulation tool and active learning methods were planned, and applied in the classroom. Students, individually, used simulation and measurement tools to solve problems by analyzing circuits and calculated current waveforms. An appropriate facilitator by the teacher made students eager and mutually supportive of one another. Surveys on the lecture showed that 90% of the students participated actively, and their reports showed the effectiveness of the lectures due to the deep understanding of the content when using simulation tools.
