Stress intensity factor as strength evaluation parameters of the component having a crack was proposed and has been used widely. While it is important to obtain a knowledge of the stress intensity factor, there are students who are not good at getting the knowledge in the classroom. In order to understand the physical meaning of the stress intensity factor, it is desirable to experience the experiment of the fracture. In the present study, we developed educational materials about the tensile test of graph paper with a crack, and conducted a stress analysis using FEM software. By using the newly developed educational materials, it is considered to be easier for students to understand the physical meaning of the stress intensity factor.
