This study aimed to investigate the effect of the duration of internships on the efficiency of graduate students majoring in engineering. The results produced two main points. The first is that the more the participation in long-term internships, the more effective they tend to be. However, “one-day internships” may be also effective in terms of industry/company research. The second is that internships lasting from two to five days are ineffective with a negative correlation between them and their effect in all areas. The study found a significant relationship between the duration of internships and their effectiveness, which remains non-uniform and straightforward and has been clarified for the first time in this study.
