The advanced course of National Institute of Technology in Japan was established in Kosen (Japanese colleges of technology) education, 30 years ago. This advanced course is two-year course where higher education based on Kosen education and accepts approximately 1,500 students each year. Graduates of this course have bachelor’s degrees from the National Institution for Academic Degrees and Quality Enhancement of Higher Education (NIAD-QE). This research aims historically consider the progress of this advanced course system and to analyze the quality assurance elements of this advanced course education system from external evaluations.
