The paper discusses the 2023 initiatives in the author′s laboratory, focusing on community-based Project-Based Learning (PBL) in Naraha-machi. Under the theme of “Residency Promotion,” the activities aimed to address local challenges and promote residency through “Smart Agriculture Experience Content.” Fieldwork emphasized the importance of listening to local voices, which contributed to students’ growth and insights. The paper highlights the significant impact of the initial group composition on PBL outcomes and recommends thorough individual meetings for better group formation.
