Abstract
Image data from earth observation satellites like LANDSAT are widely utilized for a variety of practical purposes. Educational importance of satellite image data processing/analyzing is now greatly increased. A fundamental practice using TMSAT-1 images and a photo retouch software has been undertaken to evaluate their effective-ness from an educational point of view. Such a practice is easily to realize in teaching satellite image data processing because of its cost performance. Details of TMSAT-1 image data, contents, merits and demerits of the practice are described in this report.
