On the Educational Program of Machine Design in Akita Prefectural University

Abstract

The educational program of machine design in Akita Prefectural University established in April 1999 is described in this report. Eighty students a year of Machine Intelligence and System Engineering take several courses of machine design in third semester to sixth semester for the preliminaries of practical business after graduation. These are mainly the lecture of "Computer Aided Design" including conventional machine design, the practices of "Drawing I", ie, drawing with a draftsman's outfit and "Drawing II", ie, drawing with personal computer, and "Computer Aided Engineering" also with personal computer.
