W-04 Analysis of Change of IT Industry and Career of IT Engineers

The environment of IT industry is changing. I report the result that analyzed survey data based on IT skill standard (ITSS) which IPA (INFORMATION-TECHNOLOGY PROMOTION AGENCY) which is an affiliated organization of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry established. I carried out the investigation for a software engineer individual. The numbers of people of the type of job in charge of demand analysis and a process including the definition of requirements of upper reaches increase when I watch the movement between the types of job if I become old. In other words the movement from application specialists to project managers and consultants is seen. This accords with a tendency of the career path of software engineers said conventionally. On the other hand, like IT specialists and IT architects, the type of job with a few outflows to other types of job relatively exists, too.
