In recent years, the introduction of photovoltaic (PV) power generation, storage batteries, and electric vehicles (EV) has been increasing, and smart communities (SC) that use these as a local power source have attracted attention. In addition, SCs can enter the Balancing market (BM) by utilizing the supply-demand adjustment capability of SC components, and they can be considered for operation to recover equipment costs. Therefore, this study uses mixed integer programming to optimize the power operation at the time of market participation and quantitatively demonstrates the economics of SCs and their potential for adjusting electricity supply and demand.
