In photovoltaic power generation systems, there are failures such as cell failure and increase in series resistance of strings, and fault detection is very important. However, with conventional technology, it is difficult to detect because it depends on the intensity of solar radiation and the weather. The purpose of this study is to develop a technique to detect the type and extent of failure in a solar cell string by measuring the impedance of the string. In this paper, we report the results of experiments on the impedance of photovoltaic modules.
