The objective of this study is to develop a spatio-temporal model of wide-area PV power generation potential that takes into account shading losses and weather conditions in the Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, where many high-rise buildings are located. We proposed to use the all-sky visible area algorithm of GIS to determine shading losses, which is difficult to determine using physical models. And combine it with weather observation data to estimate power generation considering weather conditions, since GIS can only analyze solar radiation on clear days. In the future, the model will serve as the basis for community extraction and optimal power flow planning studies that fulfill regional disaster prevention functions using PV/battery integrated system.
