The concept of agrivoltaics aims for the coexistence of agriculture and solar power generation. However, many cases are observed that do not comply with legal regulation due to too much introduction of solar cells. Since changes after the start of operations incur significant costs, proper installation requires simulations that can predict post-installation crop yields and power generation in advance. In this paper, we show the development of a function to predict the effect of solar panel shading effects on crop yields for agrivoltaics combined with rice cultivation.
