Simulations of Field Work Efficiency of Agricultural Machines

Abstract
General speaking, for the low cost production of the crops, the spread large scale of farm management, high efficiency of the farm work and high quality of the crops are important factors.
The simulation model for analyzing the work efficiency of the farm machinery was developed and the work efficiency under various condition was compared and discussed.
The followings were found:
1) For the field scale, if the width of machine is less than 10 meters, when the long side of the field is more than 300-400 meters, the scale of the long side is little effective for the efficiency, and the scale of the short side is not effective for the efficiency.
2) If the long side of the field is more than 200 meters, the existence of the headland work is little effective for the efficiency.
3) The work width of machines is superior in the efficiency to the work speed of machines.
4) When the time of turn in the field is long, the efficiency is down, but if long side in the field is more than 500 meters, the efficiency is small decline.
5) If you wish what the efficiency of works is doubled, the working speed is necessary more than 10 meters per second, therefore you must use no ground locomotion like a tractor but method of high speed works like an aircraft, or you must use new method of wide width machines.
6) It is important that the scale of the field is adapted to the farm management conditions. If the scale of the field is extended than is necessary, the working efficiency is not improved.
