Abstract
The dawn of perspective can trace back to the achievements by Craftsmen of the 16th century in southern Germany. German Craftsmen after the death of A. Durer are succeeding a perspective that used by artists and architects of the fifteenth century in Italy. H. Lencker, L. Stoer, and W. Jamnitzer who are German Craftsmen have published pattern-books. In this study, we focus on pattern-books by German Craftsmen, we consider construction method for Craftsmen early 16th century in southern Germany, and compared with French-Italian drawing method. As a result, the south German Craftsmen who are combination of three.dimensional polyhedral shapes (figurative solid) used to represent the perspective. On the other hand, we conclude that mathematicians and artists in France and Italy the same period was not a representation of three-dimensional shapes. And we consider that they assume the space outside three-dimensional shape, set the space-grid, and accurately represent threedimensional shapes.
