Abstract
This study employs interviews and fieldwork to identify methods for enabling the intellectually disabled to work in the corporation and to understand how labor is designed for the disabled. We describe how the difficulties faced by the disabled can be subdivided based on “knowing-how” and how designs for overcoming these difficulties are formulated. We consider two designs. First, the design for working enables the disabled to get employed. Second, the design for organizing in the corporation enables the disabled to remain employed. In other words, we demonstrate how these two designs enable the intellectually disabled to gain and continue employment in a corporation.
