We report on the electrical resistivity of YbAu2 and YbAu3 under hydrostatic pressures up to 20 kbar. It is revealed that YbAu2 is a Kondo-lattice compound with the characteristic temperature of the order of 10 K. Both the coefficient of-InT and the temperature where resistivity has a minimum are decreased by application of pressure. These results suggest that Kondo effect is suppressed by application of pressure. On the other hand, resistivity of YbAu3 is hardly affected by pressure. This implies that the 4f electronic state in YbAu3 is rather stable against lattice compression.
