Abstract
We made field and hearing investigations about damage morphologies and factors of stone walls in farm lands at 12th sites. The damage patterns were classified as collapse and deformation. The damage factors were analyzed divided into predisposing factors and contributing factors. Almost predisposing factors were depended on construction environments in farm lands. Characteristic predisposing factors in farm lands were the factor in construction which were carried out under limited stone resources and famer's technical weakness and the factor in farming. The one of main contributing factors was heavy rain. Characteristic contributing factors in farm lands which were the introduction of agricultural machines and animal damages were the other contributing factors. On the other hand, seismic damage was not heard at all sites. We supposed some pathway leading to damage from this hearing survey.
