Developing a script to support cognitive diagnostic models analysis －An automated Mplus code generation function with R－

Abstract

　Cognitive diagnostic models(CDMs)， which are psychometric models， have become famous because we can assess students' knowledge status with these models. We can use these models with Mplus that is statistical analysis software to deal with latent variable models. However， it is laborious and difficult to describe a code for CDM analysis. In this study， we developed an R script to support executing CDM analysis with Mplus. We need only a Q-matrix that represents relationships connection test items and cognitive attributes to generate an Mplus code. We confilmed that our R script generated an Mplus code for CDM analysis.
