Abstract

In this study, a questionnaire survey of 1,717 researchers was conducted to understand the impact of CORVID-19 infections on research activities in Japan from around January 2020 to September 2020. The results show that the degree of impact of CORVID-19 infections on research activities, the progress of research activities, and the use of digital tools varied greatly by the respondents’ regions. In addition, it became clear that the current concerns about research activities tended to differ by the respondents’ research fields.
