Abstract
With the progress of AICBM, the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the global spread of COVID-19, non-face-to-face telework and online education have become commonplace, and at the same time, discussions on WEB3.0・Metaverse that realize scalability and presence beyond the constraints of time and space are gaining momentum. This paper argues that AICB²M² and WEB3.0・ Metaverse will create a new civilization in the era of the fourth industrial revolution and will be the propulsion and driving force for building a new culture. In this paper, I start with the definition of the Metaverse, and discuss its characteristics, evolution from AICBM and WEB 1.0, its current status, the future of the Metaverse, and future challenges.
