Abstract
The wave of DX is surging into the medical field, and barriers surrounding medical care are about to change. From the promotion of computerization in indirect operations departments, to the introduction of IoT devices to clinical sites, DX causes destruction of barriers among medical professionals. The spread of artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to eliminate the asymmetry of expertise between doctors and patients. However, it is essential to discuss the introduction and operation of systems in areas where most of the costs are covered by social insurance where there is no free price-setting power, from an economic point of view.
