The measurement of leukotriene (LT) C4 in biological fluid by radioimmunoassay was studied. We have developed a rapid and simple extraction method of LTC4 from human plasma and synovial fluid for radioimmunoassay. In this extraction method, LTC4 was recovered in a final methanol fraction by 91% and 76% from plasma and synovial fluid, respectively. The propriety was confirmed by the recovery test and by the dilution method.
