Otologic Surgery using Laser

Abstract

KTP, Argon, and carbon dioxide lasers are used for otologic surgery including stapes surgery. A KTP laser occupied the leading role of lasers used in otologic surgery. However, with the maintenance period having been finished, a diode laser having a similar characteristic to a KTP laser might succeed to the position in future. I mention my own experience using a KTP laser and the future of the laser surgery in otologic field.
