Animal study using the pulsed dye laser at 480nm wavelength, 1μsec. pulse duration, 159μm core diameter and output energy of 40mJ/pulse did not reveal any serious tissue damage.
The 480nm wavelength laserlithotriptor coupled with 9.6Fr. flexible ureterorenoscope was useful for fragmentation of ureteral calculi impacted in the pig ureters.
