A surgical procedure has been recently employed to protect for ventricular tachycardia,that paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia due to atrio-ventricular (A-V) nodal reentry is refractory to medical therapy. However, by this method it is necessary to implant a permanent ventricular pacemaker. We have studied to induce the complete A-V Block with use of Nd; YAG-Laser without extracorporeal circulation.
