Abstract
Recently various and new research methods in addition to the technique of the neurobiology using conventional micro-electrode have been introduced into the research of the brain science field. The imaging of the neural activity by optical measurement method with high spatial and temporal resolution is also the one. This technique is useful for studying the mechanisms of synaptic integration in the dendrite of neuron, the functional organization and the correlate activity between different regions in the brain. Recent progress in understanding the principles and mechanisms of brain function is provided important contributions by optical imaging of naturally evoked dynamic response patterns in the intact brain in vivo.
