Optical measurement of biological tissue has the advantages such as noninvasiveness, ability of simultaneous recording from multiple sites. In this paper, results based on fluorescence measurement of carp's cardiac muscle cells using laser light are presented. These include the following; studies on the removal of motion artifact from fluorescent signal by simultaneous recording of two wavelength (fluorescence and reflection), multi-site recording of transmembrane potential using Acousto-Optical modulator and optical fiber bundle, simultaneous recording of transmembrane potential and Ca
2+ density, and numerical analysis of optical microprobe for near-field microscope.
