INTRA-TUMOR RADIATION THERAPY BY YAG LASER FOR DEEP LATENT LESIONS UNDER ULTRASONIC IMAGING

Abstract

Reports have been increasing about endoscopic YAG laser therapy for complete treatment of early cancers in gastrointestinal tracts without surgical operation. Can YAG laser energy be also used for selective and complete destruction of deep latent tumors in palenchymatous organs? We have developed a new intra-tumor radiation therapy by YAG laser for deep latent lesions under ultrasonic imaging.
