Abstract
Among the biological fluorescence induced by Argon laser, the fluorescence intensity originated from only porphyrins is higher at 630nm than at 620nm. We developed a new detection system. This system is composed of two interference filters (620.3nm and 631.6nm) attached to a lotating disc, a photomultiplier and a oscilloscope. In vitro and in vivo studies were carried out using this system compared with the fluorescence obtained by Optical Spectrum Analyser (OSA). The results were consisted with OSA's. Advantages of this system are summerized as follows; it is simple and inexpensive. It can selectively measure the porphyrin fluorescence.
