Abstract
We haved used the fluorescence-spectrum analyzer system to study the dynamics of hematoporphyrine derivative (Hpd) in the tumor-bearing mouse. The results show that Hpd has affinity to cancer tissue and perhaps rather strong accumulation in the cancer tissue. The greatest difference of concentration of Hpd between tumor and normal area is 24 hours after intravenous injection. Because this newly-developed system can examine accurately the relative concentration of Hpd in the tissue almost in real time, and because this system composed of a quartz fiber which can be inserted into the biopsy channel to detect the fluorescence of the stomach, we expect this spectrum analyzer system accompanying with using of Hpd can aid us to diagnosis gastrointestinal cancer.
