不妊患者における甲状腺機能に関する臨床的研究

A series of 115 patients with infertility was investigated to elucidate the relationship between sex and thyroid functions.
The examinations included BMR, ¹³¹I-uptake, RSU and serum total cholesterol.
Of 400 patients with infertility, 5.3% had hyperthyroidism and 6.5% hypothyroidism.
Anovulation was of high incidence among cases of reduced BMR ; luteinic insufficiency among those of augmented BMR ; and abnormal menstrual cycle among those of increased ¹³¹I-uptake or reduced RSU.
There was a tendency to obesity in patients with hypothyroidism of ovarian hypofunction.
Administration of thyroid resulted in gestation in 28.6%, improved thyroid function in 81.2-84.2% and elevated BBT in 85.7-35.7% of patients.
