Application of a cultured muscle to flexible actuator as a next-generation actuator is attracting attention. One of the most important technologies for the actuator is a contraction control. Generally, the contraction of the cultured muscles is controlled by electric current which is injected to the culture dish by electrodes, because the cultured muscle has no nerve. In this study, square alternating magnetic field is investigated as the stimulus. To investigate an effect of the magnetic field to the differentiation of the cells, the square magnetic field was applied for 30minutes per day for 7days to the cells which are in the differentiation incubation duration. Amount of the contraction induced by conventional injected current is measured by digital analyze of the microscopic images. As the result, relaxation time of the contraction of the cells is longer than the control cells. It means that the applied alternation magnetic field affects the cells.
