Abstract
We have studied relationship between EEG signals and movements. Movement-related cortical potential (MRCP) is one of EEG signals related to movements. Conventional studies reported the MRCP in self-paced movements and did not report the MRCP in the other movements. In this paper, we focus on the movements controlled by Go-Cue and Direction-Cue. We performed two kinds of the experiments related to movements ; the Go-Cue experiment and the No-Go-Cue experiment. Direction-Cue is shown by right and left arrow on display. Subjects press a right button if the right arrow was presented. Subjects press a left button if the left arrow was presented. Go-Cue is shown by beep tone. In the Go-Cue experiment, Direction-Cue is presented first. After presenting Direction-Cue, Go-Cue is presented. The subjects press a button after presenting Go-Cue. In the No-Go-Cue experiment, only Direction-Cue is presented. The subjects press a button after presenting Direction-Cue. As results, we obtain two features. Firstly, negative potentials were observed approximately 1 second after presenting Direction-Cue. Secondly, a bipolar spike was observed after presenting Go-Cue.
