Abstract
The site change of Innervation zone (IZ) during dynamic movement is larger than the site change of IZ during static movements. There are few previous researches about estimation of muscle force by surface electromyogram (SEMG) during dynamic movement because the positional relation between IZ and surface electrodes affects SEMG. In this study, we estimated the positional relation between IZ and surface electrodes for allowing the muscle force measurement by multi-channel SEMG during dynamic movement. Eight healthy male were performed isotonic contraction by elbow flexion. We measured multi-channel SEMG of biceps brachii muscle, joint torque, and joint angle. We calculated average rectified value (ARV) of SEMG data and estimated the site change of IZ from calculated ARV.As the results, we were able to estimate the site change of IZ. The site change of IZ was affected by not only joint angle but also strength of muscle contraction. These results show the possibility that exerted muscle force is estimated by multi-channel SEMG during dynamic movement for measuring the site change of IZ.
