Abstract
The aim of this study was to elucidate foot structure and gait feature of knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Forty nine person with KOA and 89 controls were measured plantar pressure and gait function by the Shoe Type Stabilometer. As a result, the KOA group was significantly higher outer side of planter pressure compared to control group. It is inferred genu varus of KOA. And the KOA group was significantly decreased gait speed and single support phase and significantly greater lateral displacement of gait cycle than the control group. Therefore, it considered that these data suggest the gait instability by arthritis of the knee and the pronation to reduce the knee adduction moment.
