Abstract
The experiment was performed in a large room with a straight 8 m travel path available for the subjects to walk along. Subjects were instructed and required to walk a straight path from the - 4m starting position, and step over obstacles as required by the test conditions. Refer to Fig.1 for a schematic diagram of the experimental set-up. The thirteen conditions were tested. Obstacle's height were readied oneself in the following: 2cm, 5cm, 10cm, 30cm. Obstacles were 4cm thick pieces of pressed pasteboard, 45cm in width. As a result of this study, step over the motion of single task and dual has the characteristics of distance.
