The body surface electric potential measurement is useful for screening of cardiac disease. However, it takes a long time to measure the potential because a lot of electrodes must be settled on the chest. For more precise measurement, the impedance measurement is very important, because the surface potential distribution is affected by the impedance distribution in the chest. In this study, electrical impedance tomography (EIT) employing the small electrode array sheet for the body surface electric potential measurement is investigated. Impedance distribution in the water tank which is simulating human body was measured by the electrode array sheet. The EITs were reconstructed by the CT method. Conductance of electrolyte solution in the water tank was similar value to the human body. To simulate a complicated human chest that has inhomogeneous impedance, some pieces of agarose gel were settled in the tank. These electrodes were used for both the voltage application and the potential measurement. The impedance distribution was reconstructed with the electric exploration method on a PC. As a result, 3D impedance distribution in the tank with the gels was measured successfully.
