Abstract
We are developing a skin water content measurement system which has a new measurement principle and higher resolution. Our method is to change given frequency of current to skin surface and measure the impedance of each frequency, and draw the Cole-Cole Plot in the two dimensional plane according to the frequency. In this study, we design a new sensor to attain the stability of the measured value and to analyze skin properties by the shape of the each electrode. And, we intended to analyze the water content of the stratum corneum. The shapes of electrodes are two types, one is the comb-like type and the other is opposed type, each sensor has different width and interval. To evaluate of measured value by sensors, we compared the impedance value in the skin before and after the water patch test. As the results, each sensor has drown the Cole-Cole Plot, but, the size of circle has changed according to the sensor shape. These results show that the measured value is affected by the interval of electrode.
