Abstract
Boron containing drainage occurs by the processing of the exhaust gas which is caused by the burning of the coal which is used in the sewage industry and the coal-fired power plant and is discharged to the public area of sea. Forward the growth of the taking animals and plant and a failure-to-thrive when the boron exists in the water in the high concentration is reported 1).Therefore, boron is added to the effluent-standard item and the processing of boron containing drainage such as the industry drainage is urgent business. Coagulating-sedimentation 2), ion exchange mood 3), reverse osmosis membrane method 4) and so on are reported to the boron exclusion-method. A coagulating-sedimentation is made the way of removing precipitate by alum's and slaked lime's forming ettringite and exchanging an anion. It improves a conventional coagulating-sedimentation, and it adds gypsum and there is a research report that the boron elimination-factor improves in the way of adjusting calcium quantity 5).In the this research, in the condition to have made the slaked lime which contains Ca a certain quantity, it used sodium hydroxide for the pH conditioner and it examined the effect of boron in the alkaline area.
