Abstract
The uses of recycled materials become great concern. One of the recycled materials is steel slag which is mostly produced by steel industry. In this study, adding fluorine in electric funace slag on steel making process was observed. The first experiment was conducted to observed the influence of atmosphere, temperature, and water contents in this study. The result showed that environmetal effect treatment increased the amount of dissolved fluorine for a carbonation of electric funace slag surface. If all calcium oxide of reduction slag surface were change into calcium carbonate after treatment, the dissolution of calcium will be decreased the viewpoint of the solubility of calcium in the electric funace reduction slag. electric funace oxidation slag samples which were predominantly contain iron has less impact from the weathering treatment.
