Abstract

Our technology for concentrating digestate has been developed to promote the agricultural use of digestate generated from methane fermentation plants. This technology enables the solution of issues such as spraying costs and bad odor when using digestate. It will contributes to the realization of a decarbonized society by expanding the introduction of biogas plants and recycling local resources. A demonstration project was conducted to investigate the promotion of liquid fertilizer use and its decarbonization effect when this technology is used. In this project, spreading operation showed that the enrichment reduced the working time and fuel consumption, thus improving the efficiency of the operation and achieving a decarbonization effect. In addition, the verification of fertilizer efficacy showed that the technology was as effective as chemical fertilizers, indicating its effectiveness in promoting the use of liquid fertilizers and decarbonizing society.
