In the study, with forecast formula of fatigue crack growth rate and the hypothetic expression of crack tip opening configuration, the crack growth rate and crack tip opening configuration of 7/3 brass and 6/4 brass are predicted. Further using CT specimen of the brasses, the fatigue tests under air and corrosive atmosphere were carried out. And the presumed values are compared and discussed with experimental values obtained under various test conditions. Therefore, the equivalent value, representing the crack tip opening configuration and coefficient to crack opening displacement are introduced and the new knowledge on the behavior of fatigue crack propagation has been found.
