In this paper singular strain fields around the V-shaped notch vertex in PZT-5H piezoelectric material under coupling electromechanical loadings were measured with moire interferometry method, and these fields were used to determine approximately dominant singularity orders. It is shown that the singularities decrease with the increase of notch angle. This conclusion agrees well with that of the existing finite element results. It indicates that the moire interferometry method can be used to check the singular state around the notch vertex.
