An improved CIP-CUP method is proposed by introducing the state equation of Tait form for bubbly water and applied to the simulation of submerged water jet flows. Computations have confirmed the experimental result of Gharib et al. and extend the case to a practical continuous submerged water jet. Numerical results reveal that a large main vortex is generated at the head of the jet and a number of small secondary vortexes are formed around the jet periphery. The local areas near the center of vortexes located around the jet periphery appear to be low-pressure regions, where cavitation inceptions easily take place.
