We have investigated the computational performance of Broyden method for plural cracks problems using a solid-solid coupling analysis approach. In this investigation, we found that the convergence rate of Broyden method deteriorates when the location of cracks in the model is asymmetry. In this paper, we introduced improved Broyden method with the aim of accelerating the convergence rate of the analysis for plural cracks problem. As a result, the convergence rate was not improved even with the improved method. Here, we illustrate the current status of research and development.
